Myf Powell presents a development showing of her new verbatim opera, The 5 Stages of Pig Butchering, during her residency at Bluestone Church Arts Space. The work draws on testimonies from victims and perpetrators to explore online romance-investment scams, a digital underworld exploiting love, trust, and vulnerability, often tied to organized crime and trafficking. Collaborating with artists, she tests ideas through storytelling, music, sound, movement, and mixed media. The single-day event occurs on 18 April 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM AEST at 8A Hyde St, Footscray, supported by Maribyrnong City Council's artist residency program.
