A Talanoa is a single-day community gathering on April 25, 2026, at Balam Balam Place in Brunswick, featuring inclusive Pacific-style dialogue led by Porobibi with FAMILI collective members including Ripley Kavara, Bella Waru, and Sione Teumohenga. The program includes a Talanoa session on creative processes and collective movement, followed by a Senegalese-inspired dinner by Bussin T, screening of the short film BLOODFIRE by Sione Teumohenga and Bella Waru with director discussion, and chill time with music. Running from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, this DIY self-funded event emphasizes Pacific values of love, respect, humour, and warmth. Kids are welcome, the venue is wheelchair accessible, and a new merch drop will be available.
