Olives to Oil by Whittlesea Civic Centre

Olives to Oil is an annual community event organized by CERES in partnership with local councils, where participants drop off freshly harvested olives to be communally pressed into local olive oil. The Northside South Morang drop-off takes place on Saturday, 9 May 2026, from 11:00 to 15:00 at Whittlesea Civic Centre. Tickets are required and free for small quantities (up to 20kg) for residents of participating councils, with paid options for larger amounts or out-of-area participants. Participants must collect their oil on 12 July 2026 at CERES Fair Food Warehouse in Preston, or it will be donated. The program emphasizes sustainability, local food production, and community involvement, with CERES retaining 10% of the oil to support future events.
