Sedan The Plains Capital Meet the Author Historian by Murraylands and Riverland Landscape Board

The ‘Sedan - The Plains Capital’ event features historian Sue Greiger sharing the story of Sedan, from its 1850s origins as a Lutheran settlement to its development as a flour mill town and railway hub connecting the Barossa Valley and Riverland. Attendees will hear tales of resilience amid droughts, floods, and community efforts that preserved heritage buildings. This single-day author meet-and-greet is part of Cambrai’s History Festival, taking place on 17 May 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Cambrai Museum. Bookings are required, with a $5 fee that includes museum entry, payable on the day.
