The BMV May Field Day at Lower Tintara is a single-day community event focused on remnant scrub care and boneseed removal in a vital biodiversity area outside the national park. Participants will engage in hands-on weeding activities from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on May 3, 2026, at Twentyeight Road in McLaren Vale, followed by a BBQ. Hosted by Biodiversity McLaren Vale, the event emphasizes preserving local ecosystems through collaborative environmental work, with gloves and safety goggles provided. Everyone is welcome; arrive at 8:45 AM and wear long pants, long sleeves, enclosed shoes, hat, and sunscreen. This session marks the final weeding before the planting season.
