The Butterfly Who Flew Into The Rave is an award-winning endurance-based dance performance presented by Oli Mathiesen with performers Lucy Lynch and Sharvon Mortimer from Aotearoa New Zealand. The work explores movement vocabulary from techno and rave culture, set to Suburban Knight's album 'Nocturbulous Behaviour', condensing a 3-day rave atmosphere into a relentless 90-minute show of three dancers in seamless motion. Taking place on 3 May 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Frankx Studio in Warana, Australia, it showcases the human body's limits through pain, sweat, and cathartic intensity. Part of the Horizon Festival, the event is strictly for ages 18+ due to flashing lights, strobes, loud sounds, and haze.
