Grounded: An Evening of Healing Music & Community is a single-day event on 18 April 2026, from 6pm to 9pm at the inner space in Katoomba. The evening features light refreshments, an open mic for community sharing of stories, poems, or acoustic songs, a live acoustic set by Desert Empress—a singer-songwriter of Isaan/Iraqi heritage exploring themes of healing and injustice through acoustic hip hop—and a DJ set by 4NGELB4BY specializing in deep dubstep and uplifting trance. Held in an earth-inspired studio with mud-rendered walls, spotted gum flooring, and exquisite acoustics, the event acknowledges the Dharug & Gundungurra people as traditional custodians. It fosters connection, oneness, and liberation through music, poetry, and community presence. A family ticket option supports its inclusive, community-oriented nature.
