Peranakan and Friends Community Gathering by Business Connection Resources

The Peranakan & Friends Community Gathering, part of the Asia Live Festival, celebrates the rich heritage of Chinese Peranakan culture through stories, traditions, and friendships. This single-day event on 10 April 2026, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, welcomes people of Peranakan descent and friends from Indonesian, Thai, Malaysian, Chinese, and wider Asian communities. Guests can enjoy authentic Peranakan food and drinks while connecting in conversation at the Bendigo Bank - Darling Square Community Bank Branch in Haymarket, Sydney. Following a successful first gathering in October 2025, attendees are encouraged to wear Peranakan-inspired attire such as kebaya, batik, or sarongs. Tickets are priced at $20.
