Dubbo Queer Screen Film Festival by Rafters Bar

The Dubbo Queer Screen Film Festival presents an eclectic selection of eight short films from the Mardi Gras Film Festival, showcasing diverse LGBTQ+ voices through genres like drama, comedy, romance, animation, and documentary. Highlights include 'A Friend of Dorothy' featuring Miriam Margolyes and Stephen Fry, 'She Raised Me' with Rosie O’Donnell, and other stories exploring transgender experiences, self-acceptance, and queer relationships. Hosted by Charles Sturt University as a regional partner for Queer Screen Film Festival – ECSTATICA, the single-day screening occurs on 13 May 2026 from 4:30pm to 7pm AEST. Tickets at $10 include pizza, popcorn, and non-alcoholic drinks; this is an MA15+ event. The program fosters celebration, connection, and creativity for the LGBTIQA+ community and allies.
