Kids Grow Food Garden to Jar Adventure by The Heritage Hotel

Kids Grow Food: Garden to Jar Adventure is a hands-on school holiday workshop held on 17 April 2026 from 10:00 to 13:00 at Permaculture Hawkesbury Valley Farm inside Australiana Pioneer Village. Children aged 4+ engage in sowing seeds, planting garden beds, mulching, making pickled vegetables to take home, planting seedlings, and interacting with farm animals like baby goats, bunnies, chickens, ducks, and quails. The program emphasizes permaculture principles, healthy soil, plant growth, and food preservation, fostering a connection to food sources. Parents can stay or drop off, siblings under 3 are welcome, and NDIS support is available. Participants are encouraged to bring enclosed shoes, water bottle, morning tea, and hat.
