The Winner Takes It All Maxi Shield Tribute features the 2026 Director's Cut screening of the cult classic campy comedy starring iconic Sydney drag queen Maxi Shield as Maxine Fowler in a scandalous tale of love, betrayal, murder, and fortune. The single-day event on 24/05/2026 starts with welcome drinks at 4:00 PM at Websters Lounge Bar, followed by a private screening at Dendy Cinemas introduced by writer-director James Dimitri and cast members, ending at 6:30 PM. An optional after party at Stonewall Newtown follows at 7:00 PM with drinks and food. Proceeds support Twenty10 NSW, a charity for LGBTIQA+ youth that Maxi admired. Attendees are encouraged to dress in fabulous sparkly glam and drag. Wheelchair accessible seating is available.
