The Growing Food for Wildlife Project at Flat Rock Gully consists of monthly working bees held every fourth Saturday from April 25 to November 28, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Participants engage in native gardening to cultivate food for sick, injured, and orphaned native animals cared for by local wildlife rescue groups. Activities include educational talks, weeding, planting, maintenance, and harvesting, with opportunities to learn about local plant species and wildlife from rehabilitators. No experience is required, making it accessible to all, and attendees are encouraged to bring water, hat, sunscreen, and gloves. The project fosters community connections among wildlife rehabilitators, bush care volunteers, and the public in the bushland setting of Northbridge, NSW.
