Energies in Motion with Silk and Charcoal is a single-day adult workshop led by artists Laura Fisher and Georgina Pollard, exploring energy through hands-on art techniques. Participants engage with silk dyeing using shibori and water-based methods under Laura's guidance, while Georgina facilitates collaborative charcoal drawings based on game-like rules. The activities overlap, allowing shifts between fluid silk work and rhythmic group drawing, with all materials provided including a take-home silk piece. Held on 16/04/2026 from 10:00 to 14:00 at Avalon Creative Space, the session includes tea/coffee and a lunch break, limited to 15 participants. It forms part of the Kandos School of Cultural Adaptation’s workshop series tied to the exhibition The Art of Adaptation at Manly Art Gallery & Museum. Participants should bring disposable gloves, an apron, suitable clothes, and their own lunch.
