Participants dance in the dark to upbeat music in a completely sober environment, fostering inhibitions-free movement and joy for people aged 12 to 100, including mums, dads, students, and professionals. Originating in Melbourne in 2009, it has grown into a global phenomenon with over 500,000 attendees across 75 locations, supported by a 2019 study showing significant improvements in mental and physical health for 88-97% of participants.
