The Best Of The Festival session caps off the Melbourne International Animation Festival 2026 with a curated selection of program winners, determined by judges and audience votes, including the Best Australian and Best of the Fest awards. This single-day screening on 24 May 2026 at Treasury Theatre in East Melbourne runs from 7:00 PM to 8:20 PM AEST, showcasing highlights from over 140 animations featured during the week-long event. Restricted to those 18 and over, it celebrates auteur animation from award winners, industry veterans, independents, and newcomers worldwide. A bar will be open afterward for attendees to reflect on the festival.
